20% Projects are innovative way for students to explore their passions and create works of meaning. As the name implies, I am to spend 20% of my coursework time dedicated to this project. I am currently exploring two ideas: bouldering (indoor rock climbing) or writing fan fiction based on a character I have yet to create in a popular MMO video game I have never played. Each choice has its pitfalls and potentials for exploration. The following questions may help me decide on a choice:

About - 20% ProjectGoogle gives their employees free reign to explore their own interests and side projects known as "20% Projects." These projects have lead to innovative Google products like Gmail and Adsense. Kevin Brookhouser has taken this concept into the classroom to foster learning that is meaningful and enduring in a modern society of constant change.
