All the holds have changed! This means that most of the paths and routes that I know are gone. There's a new VB, 3 new V0, and 4 new V1 routes. I believe that since I have gotten somewhat familiar with the old routes, I was able to climb them fairly well. These new routes present a new challenge since I am not as sure about how to solve them. Last time, I was able to climb to the top and ascend over the wall on the VB route. This time was a completely different story. I had to look around and find my bearings a bit which caused me to look down which was a huge mistake. Once I looked down and saw how high I was, I lost my nerve and gingerly climbed down. This was the story for the other routes as well. I was able to reach the goal of two V0 routes, but never got the nerve or the energy to pull myself over the wall. Additionally, I am still struggling to do a full and complete pull-up. This session was a huge challenge for me, and I lost all energy to go on after 45 minutes and 6 climbs. I didn't even have the energy to go on the slackline. This was a tough one, but I look forward to recuperating and trying these new routes again next week.
About - 20% ProjectGoogle gives their employees free reign to explore their own interests and side projects known as "20% Projects." These projects have lead to innovative Google products like Gmail and Adsense. Kevin Brookhouser has taken this concept into the classroom to foster learning that is meaningful and enduring in a modern society of constant change. Our cohort is emulating this idea by pursuing our own 20% Projects in hopes that we can discover dimensions of learning which are inquiry driven and personally motivated. ArchivesCategories |
